It
was nearly unimaginable back then: Israelis and Palestinians
shaking hands on the White House lawn. It's even harder
to imagine now. Remember September of '93 in this Vintage

Sing, you victors!
Live from the Shiite Cafe
By Rick Horowitz
In Baghdad,
the votes are still being recounted, but it's easy to see who the big
winners -- and the big losers -- are. In fact, down at the Shiite Cafe,
they've already started celebrating...
Sunni, yesterday
you loved Saddam Hussein,
Sunni, you ran Iraq -- but now you're goin' down the drain,
Your dictatorship's gone, the majority's here,
You're gonna take it in the ear,
Sunni, why so blue?
You're all through!
Sunni, thank you for the torture ballet,
Sunni, thank you for the cruelty on display,
You grabbed the only decent jobs,
You ran the show with Baathist mobs,
Sunni, why so blue?
You're all through!
Sunni, thank you for the furthest thing from free,
Sunni, thank you for no right to disagree,
Here we were born and loved this land,
Then Iraq was formed, and we were banned,
Sunni, here's what's new:
You're all through!
Sunni, thank you for the decades of disgrace,
Sunni, thank you for the mem'ries to erase,
You're the storm and we're the calm,
We're the peace and you're the bomb,
Sunni, don't be blue --
But you're through!
Say adieu!
Switcheroo!
Sunni!!
