One lump or two?

Nancy and Raisa: Ice at the Summit

By Rick Horowitz

Tea for two,
And two for tea,
I hate you,
And you hate me,
Can't you see
How awful this will be -- dear?

Coffee or milk, dear?
Is that really silk, dear?
How nice that you wore it,
How silly! I tore it,
I must have a spare here,
I'm sure you can wear size 2 -- true?

Ron says I must do my part,
How warm my smile,
How cold my heart,
Can't you see that this is agony?

I'm dressed as fancy
As you, lovely Nancy,
I'll just bite my tongue here,
We both know who's young here,
I know why you're grumpy,
You hoped I'd be frumpy, too -- dear.

Mikhail says to show good cheer,
Who thought an hour
Could last a year?
Can't you see that this is agony?

You changed my schedule,
As soon as you're fed
You'll be out on the street
Without missing a beat,
My patience is through,
I've got nothing to say to you -- you!

You look at me,
And you act like you're slumming,
But your guy is fading,
And mine's up-and-coming,
You'd better be nicer,
To your little Raisa, dear -- hear?

Your guy's a commie,
And mine calls me "Mommy,"
They're doing the right thing,
The heck with the right wing,

But while they're glasnosting,
I'm stuck here with hosting you, you...

Now it's time to meet the press,
To say it's been
A great success,
Can't they see that this was agony?
